ANGLE
at the Bush is the second season of new plays by local writers from
ANGLE
Theatre.
"It doesn't matter even if you haven't been to the theatre before. We are looking for a voice, someone who shines brighter than the rest. A rough diamond if you like."
Sade Banks, the Bush Theatre
This summer,
ANGLE
hunted for plays from the high streets and supermarkets of West London, and the two winning plays will be performed in a double bill at the Bush Theatre.
REPENTENCE
by Mediah Ahmed: a miniature epic about a Muslim girl and her new boyfriend.
BEHIND THE LINES
by Neil Daley: it's the scene of a street crime and everyone's got an opinion.
ANGLE
at the Bush will be directed by Blanche McIntyre, and will run from 30th January - 11th February 2012 (not on Sunday 5th). Performance times: 7.45pm evening, 2.45pm Saturday matinees.

Charlotte Gwinner,
ANGLE's
Artistic Director, says:
"We are thrilled and excited to introduce our
ANGLE
at the Bush writers after a three month search which involved a fleet of community partners and volunteers and which took us across six boroughs in West London; from Hounslow High Street to Tesco's Extra in Wembley. Our two selected writers, Mediah Ahmed and Neil Daley, are everything we could have hoped for; both offer something charismatic, vivid and new to the canon and we are proud to be their champions and to platform their work at the spectacular new Bush theatre."
ANGLE
at the Bush will bring to the stage vibrant, new and unheard voices that shed a light on what it's like to live in West London today.
ANGLE
at the Bush is made possible through funding from the Arts Council, Foyle Foundation, Wates Foundation and Trans-Siberian Orchestra, alongside generous support in kind from The Bush Theatre and Pentagram.
